Howdie fellas!
Haha int alls fejt ;)
Yesterday, sunday, was a perfect day. We finally got out to the mountains that we have been waiting for so long! :) The day started with church and right after that we started the 2 hour long drive. Mom Butterfly had made us some muffins that we ate during the day. But we stopped anyways at Tim Hortons to buy some donuts. Haha not fat at all! ;)

We continued our drive through a beautiful landscape with the Rocky Mountains in the background. Like the Finns we are who hardly even see a little hill at home were of course totally in love with these mountains. We stopped at Abraham lake and took a dussin of photos, just like the tourist from east who never have seen a cow before! The water in the lake was so turquoise/green and pretty unreal. That is because of the bottom of the lake. It was quite windy but the sun was warm and it felt almost just like a typical Finnish summer day.

Vi hann få några innan björnen sprang iväg in i skogen.
It was seriously our lucky day. We continued driving and suddenly a bear stands on the side of the road and the tourists got way more excited so we turned around to maybe get some nice photos. We did get a few good ones before the bear turned around and ran into the woods again. So now Johanna can die happy! :D We also saw a lot of deer and mountain goats on the way. That was a pretty amazing experience for all of us.

Fast va sku int he converse klaar se i vildmarken!
We stopped to eat and did a hike at the same time. We were no prepared for the hike so we didn't have the best clothes and shoes for it. But why shouln't our converse shoes survive the wilderness! ;) At least Adam brought bear spray and his Mora knife just in case... We walked over a suspension bridge, on the edge of a canyon, saw a waterfall and refilled our bottles with fresh water from the mountains. The scenery was so beautiful with all the mountains around us and I'm pretty sure that we all kept thinking for ourselves why we still live in Finland. There are no words that can describe how beautiful, peaceful and wonderful it was this day so we'll let the pictures talk. We are so thankful for this day!
